Yoga classes

Level One

Relax & Rejuvenate

This yoga class is all about relaxation and letting go.  In this class, you will come into a Yoga posture using a variety of props include blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps.  The pace in this class is slow and gentle allowing the entire body and the mind to reach a calm state.  This is the perfect class to unwind, rejuvenate and to get rid of stress in the body.  All levels are welcome. Beginning Yoga or 50+

 

 

Beginning Yoga is geared for those new to yoga or would like a slower, gentler class.  There will be explanation of the different poses, pranayama (breathing) and the aid of props such as blocks, straps and blankets.  This class is perfect for gaining flexibility and strength. This is also a great class for anyone 50+ or may be healing some areas of the body.  Level I

Level One

Basic Yoga

Basic Yoga is appropriate for the new student that wants to build a strong foundation of the basic Yoga postures and breathing techniques, as well as for the practitioner who wants to refine and master the fundamentals.   It is an invitation to stretch, relax, unwind, and de-stress.   All Levels welcome!

Level One

Healing Yoga

This Yoga class is set at a slower pace and is a meditative practice.  It is the yogic prescription for chronic tension and stress. Its an essential compliment to a more active yoga practice. Healing Yoga stretches and nourishes the joints of the body, helping to generate much greater flexibility and relaxation. All levels welcome! Level I

 

Level One/Two

Gentle Yoga Flow

Gentle Yoga Flow is perfect for new students or returning yoga students.  It emphasizes breathing, alignment, improving posture, and stress relief.  This class is perfect for regaining flexibility and would work well for those in a low impact fitness program.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a series of poses is performed with adjustment to the different physical fitness levels in the class.  The teacher will offer modifications for everyone from beginners to advanced practioners.   This class does incorporate sun salutations.  Level 1-2

Yoga Stretch & Strength

Transform yourself with this inspiring and healthy Yoga class. This Yoga class combines simple Yoga postures with basic stretching.   Discover how Yoga can increase your energy, flexibility and strength.   Learn these simple, but effective postures combined with breathing and relaxation techniques to reduce your stress and renew your mind, body and spirit!  Levels 1-2

 

Level Two

Vinyasa Flow

 The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.”  This class will have sun salutations and inversions.  Vinyasa Flow emulate a Power Yoga class. Level 2.

Pilate’s Classes

Level One

Beginning Pilate’s or 50+

This classic Pilate's mat class is geared for new students or 50+ years. This class will teach you the fundamentals of core conditioning using Pilate's based exercises. Traditional Pilate's mat exercises are a great way to strengthen your core, gain balance and lengthen the entre body. All Levels Welcome - Prior experience is not necessary.  Level 1

Level Two

Mat Pilates

This Mat Pilates Class allows everyone to experience the benefits of Pilate's exercises.  You will learn the basic Pilates movement to build a powerful and strong core center with a band and small ball.   Pilates is a "functional fitness" method.   This means that besides building strength in the abdominals, you will develop better posture and graceful, efficient movements in everyday life.   Level 1-2

Level Three

Pilates with Props

This class will teach you the Pilate's Mat Method which is a form of exercise that involves strengthening from the core, toning the extremities and awareness of movement.  Emphasis is on using the "Power House" or core muscles, breathing, concentration and control.  This Pilate's class will include the use of a small ball, thera-band, foam rollers and the ring.  It is recommended that students take the beginning Pilate's class prior to attending this class. Level 2
